Gates: otwarta kultura to nowy komunizm
Gdy jakiś czas temu, komentując tekst ze "Wprost", pisałem, że bez sensu jest traktować ruchy takie jak open source czy Creative Commons jako przejaw komunistycznego ducha to myślałem, że tylko w Polsce tak cudaczne idee mogą się pojawić.
Myliłem się.
W wywiadzie dla news.com Bill Gates nazywa ruch free culture współczesną odmianą komunizmu. Na pytanie o jego stosunek do krytyków istniejącego reżimu własności intelektualnej Gates odpowiedział tak:
” [...] wśród różnych ekonomii tego świata więcej z nich wierzy dzisiaj we własność intelektualną niż kiedykolwiek przedtem. Mamy w świecie dzisiaj mniej komunistów niż kiedyś. Istnieje nowy, współczesny odpowiednik komunistów, którzy chcą zlikwidować, na różne sposoby, bodźce [zachęcające do tworzenia] muzyków, twórców filmów i programistów. Uważają, że zachęty tego rodzaju nie powinny istnieć.”
Dalej stwierdza – czego można się było spodziewać, że:
“Własność intelektualna oferuje zestaw pozytywnych impulsów dla produktów przyszłości”.
Internet zaczął oczywiście reagować na wypowiedź Gatesa w charakterystyczny, mash-upowy sposób.

i tylko my, tu, w post-komunie --- boimy sie tego okreslenia (bo mamy do niego wstret, historycznie umotywowany).
ale blogerzy w usa -- juz mniej. sa lewaccy, lewicowi, antyglobalistyczni...
to tylko nazwy. tak jak rock w latach 60. i 70. --- tak i www, Op. Source itepe --- sa lewicowe i liberalne z natury. i chca OBALIC.
zmienic. zastapic.
nie mylmy komunizmu z biurokratyzmem jego rozwinietej fazy -- bo jak mowie --- ta przypomina i Microsofta i Sony (i Apple, jednak niestety).
Piotr Krapotkin, Marx, Engels czy Trocki dzis byliby bloggerami, inzynierami od sieci, tworcami Linuxa. i oczywiscie ktos z nich zostalby (zostanie?) Stalinem.
tak jak hipisi z lat 70. zostali prezydentami (i wlascicielami wielkich Korporacji).

Sprytne: monopol przez wszystkich teoretykow kapitalizmu byl traktowany jako wynaturzenie i zagrozenie dla wolnego rynku. Odwrocenie sytuacji i zmuszenie przeciwnikow do tlumaczenia, ze nie sa wielbladami, to gigantyczny sukces Gatesa.
Szczegolnie, ze latwo jest ten szablon przeniesc na caly rynek idei (czyli wieksza czesc rozwinietej gospodarki). Obawiam sie, ze zartu z czerwona flaga sporo osob moze nie zrozumiec, i mem ten bedzie mial niszczaca sile.
